Milky Way over Pueblo Arroyo Panorama
Pueblo Arroyo at Chaco Canyon in northern New Mexico has very well-preserved kivas and other buildings. The brickwork is colorful and blends into the landscape from which they were made. The green in the sky along the horizon is from airglow, a naturally occurring atmospheric phenomenon too dim to see with the naked eye. The long exposure allows the color to shine through.
