Comet Neowise with Airglow

This photo of Comet Neowise was shot using a special sky tracker so that a longer exposure could be used without blurring the image. It was an evening object at this time and visible in the western sky near the Big Dipper. The colorful bands in the image are from airglow, a naturally occurring phenomenon high in the atmosphere. The blue tail is the ion tail and the white tail is the dust tail.

The matted prints are signed on the print border so the signature will stay with the print if you ever change the mat. The prints themselves are made using the highest quality pigment inks and are guaranteed for life if displayed out of direct sunlight.
