Island Lake
The island in Island Lake sports a nice colorful reflection in morning light. The tarn has an impossibly blue color, as do many of these lakes in the San Juan Mountains, contrasting strongly with the completely different blue of the sky. Island Lake lies at high elevation above 12,000 feet.
