Mt. Sneffels Reflected in Beaver Pond

The warm colors of autumn are blazing in the basin below Mt. Sneffels, one of Colorado's "Fourteeners" at 14,150 feet elevation. Here we get twice the color, courtesy of the local beavers. The pond nicely reflects the entire scene. I had to balance the equipment and myself on the beaver dam and then wait for the wind to subside before tripping the shutter. A horse grazes lazily in the field of grass. The aspens are at their peak for the fall season and the first snow of the year adorns Mt. Sneffels, perfect conditions for capturing a memorable and iconic image of Colorado.

The matted prints are signed on the print border so the signature will stay with the print if you ever change the mat. The prints themselves are made using the highest quality pigment inks and are guaranteed for life if displayed out of direct sunlight.
